I’m Cesar Alberto Cocco, an artist, artist interviewer and artist marketing consultant made in NYC/NJ, Dominican Republic and Barcelona.

My three bardos - the restlessness of New York, the intuition of being Afro-Caribbean and the independence of Barcelona where I create.

I spent the first part of my career in technology and advertising, including six years at Google. Today I work at the intersection of art, travel, media and culture. On my podcast Casita Cocco Radio I interview artists and cultural figures and explore the places where independent art happens beyond the traditional museum and gallery. It encourages the audience to do and be better, always with the same goal - to make room for art, sustainable travel and self-reflection in a way that feels honest and alive.

Casita Cocco received a grant from the 2026 Kickstarter Culture Fund which supports creators building new paths for culture outside traditional institutions.

Why? Because travel should make us more curious, not less. And in an age increasingly shaped by AI, independent art may be the most important reminder of what makes us human.

In addition to my journalism I consult for independent artists and small businesses to help them reach new audiences while staying profitable on their own terms.

As well, I produce art which has taken the form of creating acrylic/oil pastel works that can be leveraged for self-reflection and loose association whenever and wherever you find that need.
